Mr. Joe Holbrook, age 87, of Lebanon, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at The Pavilion in Lebanon.
He was born Joseph Glynn Holbrook on August 7, 1939 in the New Middleton community of Smith County to the late Ralph Holbrook and Ruth Bradford Holbrook. He was a 1958 graduate of Gordonsville High School. He was united in marriage Pamela Dell McMinn on November 26, 1969. He owned and operated Emerald Supply for many years. He served on the Wilson County Fair Executive Board where he was the Truck and Tractor Pull promoter. He also served on the City of Lebanon Planning Commission, and Airport Commission. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Jack and Wayland Holbrook.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Pam McMinn Holbrook; two sons: Greg (Kim) Holbrook, and Michael Holbrook; grandsons: Eli (Mary Cate) Holbrook, Luke (Harley) Holbrook, and Clayton (Shelby) Thorne; great grandchildren: Hank & Naomi Holbrook, Lincoln, Rhett, Tate, & Collins Thorne; and brother, Jerry (Carole) Holbrook.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at 1 PM, from Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be from 4-8 PM on Wednesday, October 7, and from 11 AM until the service time at 1 PM on Thursday.
