Mr. Jessie Dell Williams, age 85, of Stewarts Bend Community of Smith County, TN, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Saturday March 1, 2025.
Mr. Williams was born June 30, 1939 in Bowlings Branch, TN, a son of the late Bryant Williams and Ruby Robinson Williams. He was also preceded in death by brothers Carl Edward Williams and his wife Joyce Anne Williams, and Kenneth Williams. Mr. Williams was a 1958 graduate of Gordonsville High School. He married Reba Jean Bush on April 29, 1961. He attended the Church of God of Prophecy Family Worship Center. He worked at the Carthage Shirt Factory, TRW, Avco and retired from Bentley Harris.
He served in the United States Army from May 1961 to April 1965 serving in the 3rd Armor Tank Division spearhead, he was discharged as SPC 5.
Mr. Williams is survived by his wife of almost 64 years, Reba Bush Williams of the Stewarts Bend Community; daughter, Valette Williams of the Stewarts Bend Community; sister, Jeanette Woods (Ricky Rigsby) of Carthage, TN; sister-in-law: Erma Williams of Hickman, TN; sister-in-law Mattie Catherine Bush and brother-in-law, Stallie Bush.
Funeral Services for Mr. Williams are scheduled to be conducted from the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes on Tuesday March 4, 2025 at 1PM with Bro Randy Teat and Bro Bobby Peoples officiating. Interment will follow in the Gordonsville Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes on Monday from 2PM to 8PM and on Tuesday from 10AM until service time at 1PM.
