Mr. James Kenneth “Ken” Wilmore, age 83 of Gallatin, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, May 11, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Pastor Travis Fleming officiating. Visitation will be Friday, May 10 from 2:00 -8:00 p.m. and Saturday, May 11 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.

Interment will follow at Smith County Memorial Gardens in Carthage, TN, with Zean Hollins, Jim Beaudoin, Jason Hollins, Matt Fite, John Pionke, Derek Beaudoin, Jack Wilmore, and Gary Phillip Carter serving as pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers are, Kenny Brown, Johnny Cothran, Mike Cook, Paul Curd, Bill Edwards, Ott Gregory, Paul Neal, Billy Nolen, Don Porter, Bobby Ridings, Richard Stephenson, Herb Tuck, Jerry Vradenburg, Pat Webb, Allen Parks, Johnny Jones, Dr. Bob Phillips. Wilmore, Bud Coley, and Calvin Short.

Mr. Wilmore was born April 15, 1936 in Smith County to the late Herbert Wesbert Wilmore and Deltha Mai Nixon Wilmore. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Odell Wilmore, Eldon Wilmore, and J.C. Wilmore; and sisters, Ruby Brooks, Mettie Dickerson, and Edith Hackett. He is survived by wife of 61 years, Barbara Carter Wilmore of Gallatin; daughters, Deborah Hollins (Zean) of Gallatin and Pamela Beaudoin (Jim) of Mt. Juliet; sister, Ogeal Dickerson of Carthage; 5 grandchildren, Leslie Pionke (John), Jason Hollins, Kristen Fite (Matt), Taylor Beaudoin, and Derek Beaudoin; and 4 great grandchildren, Jude Hollins, Preston Fite, Palmer Fite, and McKenna Pionke. Mr. Wilmore was a member of First Baptist Church Gallatin. He was a loving father and husband, and loved playing golf. He was former president of the Lions Club.
