Mr. James Hunter, age 71 of the New Middleton Community, died Thursday morning, October 17 at High Point Riverview in Carthage. He is survived by: wife, Cindy Hunter; 7 children, Michelle Goodwin and husband Corey of Spencer, Jimmy Hunter of Hartsville, April Copas and husband Nathan of Gamaliel, KY, Chris Bunch and wife Daphne of Beech Grove, Indiana, Lorie Moss and husband James of Red Boiling Springs, Martha Sampson and husband Thomas of Hermitage Springs, Barbara Smith and husband Matt of McMinnville; brothers, Rickey Hunter and wife Sheila of Lafayette, Donnie Hunter and wife Cheryl of the Shop Springs Community; 21 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Hunter is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home where his service will be conducted on Sunday afternoon, October 20 at 3:00 PM. Bro. Mark Stinnett will officiate. Interment in the Brush Creek Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are: Chris Bunch, Will Dennis, James Sampson, James Yates, John Yates, Braxton Sampson.
Visitation will begin on Saturday, October 19 at Noon until 7:00 PM and on Sunday from Noon until service time at 3:00 PM.
