Mr. James (Egg) Eastes, age 68, of Grant, died Sunday morning, June 3, at his home. He is survived by: 5 siblings, Garland Eastes and wife Earlene of Grant, Bill Eastes of Gordonsville, Mary Katherine Weatherly of Lebanon, John Eastes and wife Wanda of Winchester, Glen Eastes and wife Janet of Old Hickory.
Mr. Eastes is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home where his service will be conducted on Thursday morning, June 7, at 11:00 AM. Eld. Dave Silcox will officiate, Interment in the Smith County Memorial Gardens. Serving as active pallbearers are: Keith Gull, Jon Blankenship, Donnie Eastes, Gary Eastes, Jerry Mayberry, Gerald Kelley. Honorary pallbearers are: members of Grant Missionary Baptist Church.
Visitation will begin on Wednesday afternoon from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Thursday from 9:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM.
The family has requested memorials to the Grant Missionary Baptist Church.
