Mr. Gordon Knight
Mr. Gordon Knight, age 58, of Carthage died Monday afternoon, February 20, at Riverview Regional. He is survived by: wife, Elva Roberts Knight; children, Lenee Judd and husband Michael of Defeated Creek, Daniel Knight and wife Rachel of Hartsville, Rachel Taylor and husband Thomas of Defeated Creek; 14 grandchildren, Kylan Johnson, Mackenzie Judd, Jay Judd, Kate Judd, Karlie Judd, Summer Knight, Daniel Knight, William Knight, Ezra Knight, Kamryn Taylor, Destiny Taylor, Trinity Taylor, Laken Roberts and Hallie Grace Roberts; brothers, Troy Knight and wife Dorian of Florence, South Carolina, Alton Knight and wife Jill of Hendersonville.
Mr. Knight is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home where his service will be conducted on Thursday afternoon, February 23, at 1:00 PM. Bro. Shane Smith will officiate and Daniel Knight will present the eulogy. Interment in the Smith County Memorial Gardens. Serving as active pallbearers are: Daniel Knight, Michael Judd, Michael Roberts, Troy Knight Jr. Dewayne Knight and David Nixon.
Visitation will begin on Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Thursday from 10:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM.
The family has requested memorials to St. Judes Children’s Hospital.
