Mr. Gary Massey, age 68, of Elmwood, died Thursday evening, May 27 at Smith County Health and Rehab. He is survived by: wife, Judith Massey; 2 brothers, Steve Massey and wife Patricia of Elmwood; Kenneth Massey; 2 daughters, Peggy Sevier and husband Eric of Grant, Tammy Starnes and husband Richard of Temperance Hall; 6 grandchildren, Jeremy Sevier and wife Nanda, Ashley Sevier and husband Corey, Amber Rich and husband Preston, Renee Starnes and husband Robert, Sarah Starnes, Shelby Starnes.
Mr. Massey is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home where his service will be conducted on Monday morning, May 31 at 11:00 AM. Bro. Wallace Caldwell will officiate. Interment in the Smith County Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers are: Richard Starnes, Eric Sevier, Phillip Hudson, Jeff Sircy, Mack Stout, Jonathan Jimmy Haynes.
Visitation will begin on Sunday afternoon from 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM and on Monday from 9:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM.
The family has requested memorials to Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.
