Mr. Garry “Goober” Bennett, age 58, of South Carthage died Sunday morning, July 5, at his home. Mr. Bennett is survived by: wife Tina Bennett; mother, Martha Silcox Bennett of South Carthage; 2 children, Jordan Bennett of Carthage, Scott Bennett of South Carthage; 2 grandchildren, Kaylie Hickman and Allison Hickman.
Mr. Bennett is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home. Graveside Service and Interment will be conducted on Thursday morning, July 9, at 11:00 AM at the Smith County Memorial Gardens. Eld. Stephen Brooks and Eld. James Crawford will officiate.
Visitation will be on Thursday, July 9, only at the Carthage Chapel from 9:00 AM until leaving for the cemetery at 10:45 AM.
The family has requested memorials to assist with funeral expenses.
