Mr. Frank Dillard Smith
Mr. Frank Dillard Smith, age 84, of Lebanon, TN, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2015, at the Quality Health Care in Lebanon, TN.
Mr. Smith was born November 8, 1931 in Gordonsville, TN, the Son of the late; Grover Cleveland Smith and Mary Alice Watts. He was also preceded in death by One Brother; Jerry Clifton Smith. Frank married Lucille Maynard on June 5, 1953. He served his country in the U.S. Army for two years. Frank attended the Church of God Worship Center in Lebanon, TN, but was always partial to the Lancaster Baptist Church, where he attended with his family for several years. He retired from Capital Engraving in Nashville, TN.
Mr. Smith is survived by his Wife of 62 years; Lucille Maynard Smith of Lebanon, TN. Daughter and Son-in-Law; Yancey Denise (Bobby) Williams of Lebanon, TN. Brothers; Robert A. Smith of Mt. Juliet, TN, and Troy (Estella) Smith of Gordonsville, TN. Sisters; Sarah Payne of Brush Creek, TN, Betty Jo Jones of Lebanon, TN, and Rosie (T.J.) Jones of Lebanon, TN. Two Sisters-in-Law; Marie Bennett and Sarah Smith. One Brother-in-Law; Howard “Jimmy” (Frances) Maynard. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services for Mr. Smith are scheduled to be conducted from the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes on Friday, November 13, 2015 at 1PM with Bro. Shane Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Gordonsville Cemetery.
Visitation with the Smith family will be held at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes on Thursday from 4PM until 8PM and again on Friday from 10AM until the time of the service at 1PM.
In Lieu of flowers; the Smith family requests that memorials in Mr. Frank’s memory be made to St. Jude.
