Mr. Ernest Hackett, age 89, of Tanglewood, died Sunday morning, April 16, at his home. He is survived by: son, Jimmy Hackett and wife Jackie of Tanglewood; 5 grandsons, Lance Hackett and wife Angela of Dixon Springs, Brett Hackett of Riddleton, Brian Hackett of Riddleton, Josh Hackett and wife Lindsey of Riddleton, Jake Hackett of Tanglewood; step-granddaughter, Jarraca Holder of Tanglewood, 2 great-grandchildren, Audrey and Carson Hackett of Dixon Springs.

Mr. Hackett is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home where his service will be conducted on Wednesday afternoon, April 19, at 1:00 PM. Eld. Stephen Brooks and Eld. Charles Allen Gentry will officiate. Interment in the Smith County Memorial Gardens. The grandsons and great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will begin on Tuesday afternoon from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM.
