Mr. Elisha High
Mr. Elisha High, age 103, of Carthage, died Monday afternoon, September 18, at his home. He is survived by: 4 children, Jane High of Nashville, Jean Gregory and husband Ray Dean of Mt. Juliet, John High of Monoville, Jill Wilmore and husband Marty of Pleasant Shade; 7 grandchildren, Jamie High Graham and Nick Gacher of Brooklyn, New York, Mike Gregory and Connie of Cato, Kim High Frank and Darren of Hendersonville, Mandy Mellons and Josh of Las Vegas, Nathan Wilmore of Cookeville, Monica Hill and Cody of Horton, Alabama; 7 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. High is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home where his service will be conducted on Thursday morning, September 21 at 11:00 AM. Bro. Tim Frank will officiate. Interment in the Smith County Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers are: Jimmy Thomas, Nathan Wilmore, Mike Gregory, Hunter Gregory, Cody Hill, Jeff Kemp, Joe Kemp and Ted Kemp.
Visitation for Mr. High will begin on Wednesday afternoon from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM and on Thursday from 9:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM.
The family has requested memorials to: Carthage First Baptist Church or Smith County Help Center.
