Mr. Donald Winfree, age 93 of the Rome Community died Wednesday evening, December 21 at his home. He is survived by:
4 children, Donnie Winfree and wife Susanne of Gordonsville, Tommy Winfree of Brush Creek, Ethelene Johnson and husband Ronnie of Rome, Sandra Holland and husband Mark of Rome; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Winfree is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home where his service will be conducted on Wednesday afternoon, December 28 at 1:00 PM. Bro. Jimmy Gregory will officiate. Interment in the Smith County Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers are: Cody Winfree, Evan Winfree, Lance Holland, Steven Johnson, Russ Woodard, Casey Woodard.
Visitation at the Carthage Chapel will begin on Tuesday afternoon from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM and on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM.
The family has requested memorials to the American Heart Association or to the Jordan Hackett Foundation.
