Mr. Donald A. Hackett

Mr. Donald A. Hackett, age 88, of Lock Seven, died Monday evening, October 12, at Riverview Regional in Carthage. He is survived by: daughter, Sarah Thomas and husband Bill of Russell Hill; sister, Mary Vance of Lock Seven; brother, Neal Hackett of Lock Seven; 5 grandchildren, Jennifer, Heather and Kim Hackett, Nicki Driver, and Austin Thomas; 9 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Hackett is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home where his service will be conducted on Thursday afternoon, October 15, at 1:00 PM. Eld. Stephen Brooks will officiate. Interment in the Ridgewood Cemetery. Austin Thomas, J. D. Driver, Robert Wright, Mack Gann, Kyle Owen and Stokley Lynch will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday, October 14, from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Thursday, October 15, from 10:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM.

The family has requested memorials to the Smith County Cancer Fund.
