Mr. Danny “Buzz” Combs Murray

Danny Combs Murray, known to family and friends as Buzz, passed away on July 14, 2026, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born on June 28, 1950, in Hazzard, Kentucky, and lived a life marked by loyalty, friendship, and a strong devotion to the people and communities he held dear.

Buzz was the son of Denver Combs and Reba June Murray Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Fred Combs, his wives Kate Allen Murray, Julia Hileman-Murray, and Patty Stacey, and many club brothers who were an important part of his life.

For more than 50 years, Buzz was a member of a MC in Dayton, Ohio, where he formed lasting bonds and built a brotherhood that remained meaningful to him throughout his life. His long-standing involvement reflected his deep sense of loyalty and his appreciation for the friendships that stood the test of time. He was proud of the connections he made and the memories he shared with those who traveled life’s road beside him.

Buzz is survived by his son, Danny Murray and his wife Shannon of Troy, Ohio, and his daughter, Dakota Murray of Cookeville, Tennessee. He also leaves behind his wife, Wendi Copeland-Murray of Pleasant Shade, Tennessee, and stepchildren Lisa Agnor of Dayton, Ohio, and Erika Craig of Pensacola, Florida. His surviving siblings include his brother Andy Murray of Ohio and his sisters Jan Cox of Ohio, Julie Thompson of Ohio, Linda Hill of Kentucky, Joan Tucker of Florida, and Brenda Crosby of Georgia.

He was a proud grandfather to Michael Murray of Troy, Ohio, Danny Murray Jr. of Troy, Ohio, Eastleigh Huddleston of Cookeville, Tennessee, and Zariah Murray of Cookeville, Tennessee. He also leaves behind his great-grandchild, Everest Murray of Troy, Ohio. Buzz is further survived by family friends and club brothers who will remember him with affection and respect.

In honoring Buzz’s Wishes his family has chosen cremation.
