Mr. Chester Blankenship
Mr. Chester Blankenship, age 83, of Tanglewood, died Wednesday morning, March 22, at Knollwod in Lafayette. He is survived by: wife of 32 years, Shirley Sircy Blankenship; daughter, Pam Rawn of Manchester; step-son, Eld. Rickey Hall and wife Christel of Tanglewood; 4 sisters, Frances Carter of the Galen Community , Mary Hammer and husband Guthrie of the Galen Community, Jo Stevenson of the Galen Community, Jean Cline and husband Terry of Walter Hill; 3 grandchildren, Christen Hall, Katie Anderson and Derric Rawn; 2 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Blankenship is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home where his service will be conducted on Friday afternoon, March 24, at 1:00 PM. Eld. Rickey Hall will officiate. Interment in the Smith County Memorial Gardens. Serving as active pallbearers are: Ronnie Carter, Barry Hammer, Mark Davis, Pat Agee, Bobby Bullington and Sammy Dennis.
Visitation will begin on Thursday afternoon from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Friday from 11:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM.
The family has requested memorials to North Gordonsville Missionary Baptist Church or the Jordan Hackett Foundation.
