Mr. Bobby Gene Eddington Sr.
Mr. Bobby Gene Eddington, Sr. age 80, of Brush Creek, TN, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at his home.
Mr. Eddington was born November 10, 1934 in Union City, TN, the Son of the late Alvin T. Eddington and Nona E. Pope. He was also preceded by Son; Bobby Gene Eddington, Jr. Bobby married Marilyn Marlene VandeCaveye on September 3, 1954.
He worked at General Motors for numerous years until his retirement in 1987. Bobby ran the Bo-Mar Country Store in Brush Creek, and also served as the Brush Creek Substitute Postmaster. He also drove the Senior Van for U-carts. Mr. Eddington was a Member of the Brush Creek Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, a member of the Brush Creek Lions Club, the New Middleton Masonic Lodge #249 F&AM, and the Al Menah Shriners. He was a 32nd Degree Mason.
Mr. Eddington is survived by Wife; Marilyn Eddington of Brush Creek, TN. Children; Debi (Jerry K.) Slagle of Brush Creek, TN, David (Mary) Eddington of Brush Creek, TN, and Gary A. Eddington of Union City, CA. Brother; William Thomas (Adi) Eddington of Fenton, MI. Thirteen Grandchildren and Seventeen Great-Grandchildren also survive.
Funeral Services for Mr. Eddington are scheduled to be conducted from the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes, on Friday, October 16, 2015 at 1PM with Bro. Rob Amason officiating. Interment will follow in the Brush Creek Memorial Gardens.
Visitation with the Eddington family will be held at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes on Thursday, October 15, from 12 Noon until 8PM and again on Friday, October 16, from 11AM until the service time at 1PM.
A Masonic Service will be held on Thursday Evening at 7PM at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes.
