Mr. Billy Watkins, age 77 of the Defeated Creek Community, died Wednesday evening, January 10 at his home. He is survived by wife, Mary Watkins; daughter, April Watkins-Doeg and husband Ernie of Medford, Mass; 3 sons, Daniel Watkins and fiancee’ Gina Reed of McClures Bend, Billy Watkins Jr of Gordonsville, Nigel Watkins of Wartburg; 7 grandchildren, Harlan and Asher Doeg, Jaxon Watkins, Mary Claire Watkins and Delaney Sue Watkins, Mia and Macy Dyer; 3 sisters, Margie Lee Lindsey and husband Charles , Vicky Fuller and husband Charles, Becky Sue Haywood and husband Jimmy all of Macon, GA.
Mr. Watkins is at the Hackett Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home in Kempville where his service will be conducted on Saturday afternoon, January 13 at 1:00 PM. Eld. David Turner will officiate, April Doeg will present the eulogy and Eld. Marshall Hooper will officiate at the graveside. Interment in the Defeated Creek Memorial Gardens.
Visitation at the Hackett Chapel in Kempville will begin on Friday afternoon from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM and on Saturday from 11:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM.
