Mr. Billy Shoulders, age 90 of the Cato Community, died Saturday evening, July 30 at Sumner Regional in Gallatin. He is survived by: wife, Sue Shoulders; children, Charlotte Hensley and husband Eld. Kenny of Boultons Bend, Eddie Shoulders of Boultons Bend, Jeff Shoulders and wife Shannon of Phoenix, AZ; step-daughter, Shannon Armistead and husband Paul of Tanglewood; sisters, Sylvia Hibdon of Clarksville, Elberta Burnette of Springfield, Edwina Southerland of Cleveland, TN, Faye Fowler and husband Jack of Florida, Betty Jean Cothron of Springfield, Mary Ann Roberts and husband Lanier of Alabama; brothers, Eld. J. B. Shoulders and wife Roberta of Lafayette, Bobby Shoulders of Gallatin, Eld. James Shoulders and wife Sue of Greenbrier; 5 grandchildren, Brian Hensley and wife Krista of Lock Seven, Beth Conditt and husband Josh of Brush Creek, Racheal Petty and husband Jonathan of Hartsville, Taylor Shoulders of Hartsville, Timmy Wentworth of Lafayette; 4 great-grandchildren, Haley Ezell and husband Caleb, Regean Petty and Julian Petty, Sloan Conditt; caregiver, Courtney Bode of Castalian Springs.
Mr. Shoulders is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home where his service will be conducted on Wednesday afternoon, August 3 at 1:00 PM. Bro. Jackie Dillehay will officiate. Interment in the Smith County Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers are: Brian Hensley, Taylor Shoulders, Kenny Hensley, Paul Armistead, Timmy Wentworth, Jonathan Petty, Mackie Fields.
Visitation will begin on Tuesday from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
The family has requested memorials to the Smith County Senior Citizen Center.
