Mr. Billy Dean Manning, age 88 of Hickman, TN, passed away on Monday morning, June 24, 2024 at his home in Hickman, TN.
Mr. Manning was born March 20, 1936 a son of the late Buford Manning and Volina Ligon Manning, Dot Manning. He was also preceded in death by Twin Brother; Bobby Gene Manning, Sister; Martha Hite and Brother; Buddy Manning.
Mr. Manning was a 1957 graduate of Smith County High School. He was a retiree of Ryder PIE Truck Lines. Mr. Manning attended Rawls Creek Church where he was a superintendent for many years. He enjoyed being out on the farm.
Mr. Manning married Eunice Ann Campbell on December 4, 1959.
Mr. Manning is survived by Wife of 64 years; Eunice Ann Campbell Manning. Daughter; Marcia (Kelvin) Gregory and Tammy (Randall) Woodard. Sons; Tommy (Amy) Manning and Mike (Teresa) Manning. Grandchildren; Logan (Fiancé, Amanda Rathburn) Gregory, John Woodard, Jacob Woodard, Nathan (Victoria) Manning, Ashley (Nick) Sackman, Meagan Manning, Luke Manning, and Allie Manning. Great-grandchildren; Sara, Emma, Carter, and Maya Manning and Andrew and Archer Sackman. Sister; Carolyn Hyde. Brother; Donnie Manning. Sister-in-Law; Gyla Manning.
Funeral services for Mr. Manning are scheduled to be conducted from the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes on Friday, June 28, 2024 at 1PM with Bro. Gary Wix delivering prayer and eulogy and Bro. Leonard Diebold officiating. Interment will follow in the Gordonsville Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes on Thursday from 3PM until 8PM and on Friday after 11AM until service time at 1PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Jordan Hackett Foundation or the charity of your choice.
