Mr. Bill Reece, age 72 of Carthage, died Tuesday evening, January 3 at Stonecrest Hospital in Rutherford County. He is survived by: brother, Donald Lee Reece Sr. of Chestnut Mound; nephew/brother, Tommy and Evelyn Lawson of Carthage, nephews, Stacy Lawson and wife Tanna of Chestnut Mound, Donnie Lawson and wife Ava of Carthage ,Donald Reece Jr and wife Sabrina of Gordonsville; nieces, Kathy Marks and husband Joey of Carthage, Crystal Dennis and husband Ricky of Gordonsville, Marion James and husband Ray of Chestnut Mound; 16 great nieces and nephews; 25 great great nieces and nephews.
Mr. Reece is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home where his service will be conducted on Friday morning, January 6 at 1:00 PM. Rev. Monica Mowdy will officiate. Interment in the Smth County Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers are: Jeffrey Grisham, Donald Reece Jr. Ray James, Stacy Lawson, Joey Marks, Keith Thackxton.
Visitation will begin on Thursday afternoon from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM and on Friday from 10:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM.
The family has requested memorials to Smith County Fine Arts Center.
