A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Kenneth Myers, 68, of Ashland City, will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, April 26th, 2021 at Pleasant Grove Fellowship in Buffalo Valley, TN.  Family will receive friends from 3-6 until time of the service at the church.

Mr. Myers passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at his residence.  He was born April 22, 1952, in Putnam County to Hugh Hargis Myers and Mary Ruth Brown Myers of Buffalo Valley.

Kenny was a caring and generous person.  He enjoyed playing softball and golf and was always active in sports.  His friends lovingly referred to him as “Oscar.”  He retired from Averitt Express where he worked for many years as a diesel mechanic.  Kenny was saved as a young man while attending a revival at East Baptist Church in South Carthage and assured the family he was “ready to go”.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, Michael Christopher Myers; and one brother, Hugh Nelson Myers.  He is survived by a son, Nathan Wesley Myers of Carthage; a step-daughter, Ashley Farmer of Ashland City; two granddaughters, Alyssa and Serenity Myers; one step grandson, Cody James Stout, Jr. (CJ); two brothers, Wayne (Marlene) Myers of Shelbyville and Dale (Gail) Myers of Baxter; one sister-in-law, Sharon Fox of Gainesboro; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
