Judith Kay Tyree, age 75, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 22, 2022 surrounded by her family at her home in Andersonville, TN. She was preceded in death by her great grandson, Robert James Neal, III, in 2018 and her grandsons, Joel Aaron Tyree in 2020, and Jonathan Seth Tyree in 2021.
She was born Judith Kay Snyder, daughter of Carl Lester Snyder and Dorothy Jean Blakesly Snyder on Monday, October 14, 1946, in Portsmouth, OH. She was formerly employed by Levi Strauss Co, in Powell, TN and was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Andersonville.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Garry Harlas Tyree, whom she married at her childhood home in Portsmouth on January 02, 1965; her son Garry Harlas Tyree, Jr. and wife Tina of Carthage, TN; her daughter, Anita Lorraine Ramsey and husband Kirk of Powell; brothers Steven Ray Snyder and wife Margie of Troy, OH; and Edward Lee (Joe) Snyder and wife Naomi of Brewster, KY; 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Memorial Services will be conducted by Victory Baptist Church Associate Pastor Matthew Harlass on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Woodhaven Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 160 Edgemoor Road, Powell, TN 37849. Visitation begins at 10:00 AM and is followed by a Chapel Service at 12:30 PM. The Graveside Service will start approximately at 2:00 PM in the Garden of Everlasting Life at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens.
