Eld. James Crawford, age 74 of Carthage, died Tuesday morning, March 28 at Riverview Regional in Carthage. He is survived by: wife, Brenda Bennett Crawford; son, Jeremy Crawford; sisters, Ruby C. Wallace and husband Sammy of Stewart, Melinda K. Eppstein and husband Joe of Bethpage; 4 grandchildren, Lucas Crawford and Seth Crawford both of Dunlap, Caleb Crawford and Reece Crawford both of South Carthage.
Eld. Crawford is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home where his service will be conducted on Saturday afternoon, April 1 at 3:00 PM. Eld. Anthony Dixon and Bro. Steve Law will officiate. Interment in the Smith County Memorial Gardens with Military Honors by the American Legion Post #57. Serving as pallbearers are: Caleb Crawford, Reece Crawford, Tony Kinslow, Joe Eppstein, T. J. Stinson, Lucas Crawford; Honorary pallbearers, Seth Crawford, Jacob Petty, Randy Petty, Lloyd Kinslow, Todd Kinslow, Justin Willoughby, Jamie Martorana, Luke Edwards, Charlie Bandy, Blaze Kinslow, Denzel Cherry.
Visitation will begin on Friday afternoon from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 10:00 AM until service time at 3:00 PM.
