Becky Ann Bennett Bellar

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Becky Ann Bennett Bellar, aged 84, of Seymour, Tennessee, who left this world peacefully on October 23, 2024. Becky was a cherished daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, whose enduring spirit touched the hearts of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Born on September 26, 1940, in Brush Creek, Tennessee, Becky was the daughter of Robert Louis Bennett and Frankie Mae Courtney Bennett, who instilled in her a strong sense of family, faith, and strength. She attended Brush Creek Elementary and Gordonsville High School, where she developed lifelong friendships with Faye Sykes Williams, Janice Hall Kelly, Nancy Cowan, and Gradie Joyce Christian Garvin. She was an outstanding basketball player, being chosen all-mid-state among many other accolades during her high school tenure. In addition to caring for her family, Becky worked outside the home. She concluded her career as the plant secretary at Modine Manufacturing after 22 years of service.
Becky married the love of her life, her high school sweetheart, Charles Ronald Bellar, with whom she shared 59 years of marriage filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories until his death in 2020. Together, they raised three children: Lori, Veronica, and Stephen, who remained faithfully by her side until her last moments.
Becky was known for her red hair, beautiful smile, and quick-witted sense of humor. Her hospitality was so great that many found family in her home. She always made time for family, friends, and large gatherings where all were welcome. She enjoyed sports, card games, reading, and being at home with her family, especially her husband, Ronnie.
Becky is survived by her daughter, Dr. Lori Bellar Goodin, and husband Chris; Veronica Bellar; Stephen Bellar and wife Melanie; granddaughter Savanna Goodin; granddaughter Ashley Bellar Ryan and husband Josh; great-grandchildren June Ryan, Forrest Ryan, and Aspen Ryan; her sister and best friend, Betty Taylor; brother-in-law Jerry Bellar and wife Jacqueline; brother-in-law Nero B.
