(Smith County Insider Press) Gordonsville, Tenn – A single vehicle accident occurred Wednesday, August 12, around 10:30 pm on I-40 at the 259 West mile marker.
Jacob Murr of Kingston, TN was headed west on I-40 in a 2012 Honda Civic, when he fell asleep while driving. His vehicle exited the right hand side of the roadway and hit a rock bluff head on.
Murr was wearing his seatbelt, and the airbags did deploy.
Lieutenant Joe Agee of the Tennessee Highway Patrol worked the scene with assistance from he Smith County Sheriff’s Department.
Dales Towing & Recovery removed the vehicle from the scene.
