Trauma and Substance Abuse Therapy Group in Carthage
Seeking Safety, a trauma and substance abuse therapy group will start July 10th at the
“The Spot” in Carthage. Seeking Safety is an evidence-based, present-focused counseling model to
help people attain safety from trauma and/or substance abuse. It directly addresses both trauma and
addiction, but without requiring participants to delve into the trauma narrative (the detailed account of
disturbing trauma memories), thus making it relevant to a very broad range of individuals. Group will
be held Fridays from 2 to 3:30 PM at a cost of $25 per group.
