Larry Silcox, of Alexandria, and his son were involved in a minor accident on Interstate 40 on Wednesday afternoon, June 17th.
According to Trooper Troy Withers of the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Silcox was traveling east on I-40 in a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer, pulling a 2002 Chevy Tahoe on a trailer. After passing over an interstate bridge, the trailer began to wobble and sway, causing Silcox to lose control of his vehicle. The vehicles came to a stop in a ditch on the right shoulder at approximately mile marker 260.
The Smith County Sherriff’s department was also on the scene.
The scene was cleared by Dale’s Towing and Recovery. No injuries were reported.
