SUV Flipped on I-40

(Smith County Insider Press) Gordonsville, Tenn. – On Saturday, July 25, Andrew Jones, of North Carolina, was traveling West on I-40, at the 265 mile marker, when his 2005 Saturn Relay struck a 2013 Nissan Rouge in the rear. This collision caused the driver of the Nissan Rouge to strike a third vehicle in the rear.
The 2013 Nissan Rouge was driven by Desiree Redny, of Doyle, TN. Once the Nissan Rouge hit the third vehicle, driven by Lee Devers of Texas, it caused it to flip on its side and come to a rest in the right lane of the interstate. The accident caused the right lane of I-40 to be shut down for two hours. No one was injured in the accident.
Trooper Mark Jones, of the Tennessee Highway Patrol worked the scene, with assistance from Smith County EMS, and Smith County Sheriff’s Department.
