Tiffany Whalen, 21, of La Vergne, was involved in a single vehicle accident on June 27th on New Middleton Highway.
Whalen was traveling east on Highway 53 in a 2015 Ford Fiesta where, shortly before reaching New Middleton Lodge, she ran off the road and through a fence, coming to a stop in a field by Dry Fork Road. According to Trooper Mark Jones of the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Whalen was cited for DUI, and misdemeanor traffic violations.
The Smith County Sherriff’s Office, EMS, and Rescue Squad were also on the scene. No injuries were reported.
