Thirty six producers from Smith and Trousdale County recently graduated from the Advanced Master Beef Producer Course. The course included information on topics such as reproduction, nutrition, forages, genetics, marketing, and herd health.
A program developed by University of Tennessee Extension, the Advanced Master Beef Producer Course is designed to provide in-depth education to beef producers, including the nearly 12,000 producers who completed the original Master Beef Producer Course. The graduates enjoyed a steak dinner upon graduation, and were given a farm sign and hat along with their certificate. The Smith County graduates are pictured below.
