A woman found passed out in her vehicle along the side of Interstate 40 was arrested on multiple drug charges last Friday.
Sgt. Junior Fields of the Smith County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle that was parked partially blocking the roadway along I-40 eastbound near the 260 mile marker.
The woman, later identified as 20-year-old Antoneshia Leshaun Sneed, was observed sitting in the driver seat with her vehicle in drive, foot on break, and passed out when Fields arrived.
Fields also observed a small bag containing white powder cocaine.
Fields placed the vehicle in park and shut the engine off. He noticed an odor of intoxicants about Sneed’s person.
Upon getting her awake, Fields had her perform standardized field sobriety tests at which she could not complete same to standard and was thus placed under arrest for Driving Under the Influence.
Sneed refused to submit to a blood test.
A search of her vehicle revealed a small marijuana cigarette and a marijuana pipe.
Sneed was transported to the Smith County Jail Facility for booking.
Sneed is charged with Driving Under the Influence (1st Offense), Possession of Schedule VI, Possession of Schedule II, Felony Possession Drug Paraphernalia, and Violation Implied Consent Law.
