(Smith County Insider Press) Carthage, Tenn. – On April 13, Deputy Nathan Willams of the Smith County Sheriff’s Department was transporting a female, Kendel Nicole Allison, to the Putnam County line to meet Putnam County officers because they had an active warrant for her arrest in their county.
Upon arriving to meet Putnam County Officers, Deputy Williams asked Allison to step out of the back of his patrol car. He noticed a white powder residue on the back seat of his unit. After further investigation, Deputy Williams found two glass pipes, a syringe, and small baggies.
Deputy Wiliams placed Allison back in his patrol car and transported her to Smith County Jail Facility for booking.
Upon arrival at the sally port, Deputy Williams asked Allison if she had any weapons or anything illegal on her person. She stated, “no.”
When she entered the jail facility, a small bag containing a white substance was found between her legs. The substance tested positive for Methamphetamine.
Allison was charged with Possession of Schedule II, Possession of Methamphetamine, Intro. of Contraband into Jail, Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Tampering with Evidence.
Allison’s bond was set at $25,000 and she is also being held for Wilson and Putnam Counties.
