Beginning January 19, 2021, Volunteer State Community College will offer two in-person classes. English Composition I (ENGL 1010) will be offered on Tuesdays at 6:00 pm, and Intro to Sociology (SOCI 1010) will be offered on Thursdays at 6:00 pm during the Spring semester.
The courses will be held at the Smith County Chamber of Commerce at 939 Upper Ferry Road in Carthage. Students will attend in-person classes with the professor participating via Zoom.
These are general education classes that may apply to many degree paths.
Vol State also offers other online classes that can be taken at home.
New students will need to apply to Volunteer State Community College before taking any courses. Applying is free.
