Veteran’s Day Festivities in Smith County

There are several Veteran’s Day festivities happening in Smith County during the first two weeks of November. The first being the Veteran’s Luncheon on Tuesday, November 3 hosted by the Gordonsville branch of Wilson Bank and Trust. The luncheon will be held from 11:30am-12:30pm. All veterans are welcome and encouraged to bring pictures and artifacts to display. To RSVP call 615-683-3990.

On Friday, November 6 there will be a Veteran’s breakfast at the Smith County Chamber of Commerce. The Breakfast will be held from 8am-9am. Retired Army Veteran, Walter Glen Birdwell Junior will be speaking at the event. To RSVP call 615-735-2800.

A Veteran’s Day Parade will take place on Sunday, November 8. The parade will begin at 2:30 on the lawn of the Historical Smith County Courthouse.

Lastly, on Tuesday, November 10 the Carthage Pavilion Assisted Living center will be hosting a Veteran’s Day brunch. The meal will begin at 10am. To RSVP you may call 615-588-1040.
