On Tuesday, June 7, Smith County 911 received a call reporting a vehicle accident with possible injuries on I-40 around the 254 mile marker East. EMS Station 3, Southside First Responders, and Smith County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched to the scene.
Upon arriving on scene, authorities found a 2007 white Honda Civic on its top. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Olivia Olson, 28, of Knoxville, TN.
Olson was traveling East on I-40 when her vehicle exited the right side of the roadway, overturned, then landed on its top. The accident occurred just before the Alexandria exit overpass on I-40.
Olson was transported to Riverview Regional Medical Center with possible back injuries.
Trooper Bobby Johnson of the Tennessee Highway Patrol worked the scene.
The vehicle was removed from the scene by M&W towing.
