Gardeners interested in improving their tomato and pepper production should mark their calendars for April 27 and May 5 for a chance to hear from University of Tennessee Extension experts.
On April 27, Anthony Carver, UT Extension Agent in Grainger County, will join us via Zoom for our monthly “Extension Ag Talk Tuesday” session. As the Extension Agent in a county whose name is synonymous with tomato production, Anthony has several years of experience helping commercial tomato producers and homeowners alike.
This Zoom format will allow you to listen from the comfort of your home, while also giving you the opportunity to ask questions to an expert in tomato production. To register for the free Zoom session, visit tiny.utk.edu/tomatoes.
If you’re a fan of peppers, you won’t want to miss our next Lunch & Learn on May 5 with UT Extension Specialist Dr. Natalie Bumgarner as she delivers her presentation titled “Sweet to Heat: A Pepper for Every Garden.” We will meet from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. at the Smith County Chamber of Commerce, and lunch is only $5. Pre-registration is required by Monday May 3 by calling UT Extension at 615-735-2900.
