(Smith County Insider Press) Pleasant Shade, Tenn. – On February 12, Smith County 911 received an emergency call from a woman who was claiming someone had kicked down her door and was threatening to kill her.
Smith County Sheriff’s Department dispatcher, Winnie Hunt, first gave the call to Deputy Matt Bush. Sgt. Jimmy Lankford and Deputy Nathan Williams also responded to the call at 46 Nixon Hollow Lane in Pleasant Shade. Upon arriving at the home, the deputies made contact with the female that stated the incident had occurred just up the street, and the female victim had called her for help because she was scared for her life.
Upon arriving at 69 Nixon Hollow Lane, deputies made contact with a Tracey Timbs. Timbs stated that a white male with tattoos on his neck and a long black leather jacket kicked in her door. Timbs was at her home with a friend, Amanda Russell, when the door was kicked in. Timbs alleged that the man threatened to kill her and kept stating how bad he was going to hurt them. Timbs also stated that the man began abruptly throwing her belongings all over the house and that he hit her with an object several times on the head.
The two women ran from the house and the man chased them for a short time, but then he left the scene before authorities arrived. The women claimed that they knew the man and stated that his name was Curtis Macon Gregory. After a short investigation, the Smith County Sheriff’s Department located Gregory in a near by home.
Gregory was placed under arrest and transported to the Smith County Jail Facility for Booking. Gregory is being held without bond until his court dates.
Curtis Macon Gregory was charged with aggravated burglary, assault, violation of probation orders, and felony possession of drug paraphernalia.
