(Smith County Insider Press)—Quinton Stephan Watson (28) and Brandon Lee Murphy (35, Lebanon) were arrested on October 14, 2018, following a narcotics search conducted by the Smith County Sheriff’s department and Special Response Team unit.
According to a police narrative submitted by Sergeant Ridge Long, officers located Watson and Murphy hiding upstairs inside a residence on Horseshoe Bend Lane in Elmwood.
Officers discovered two rifles and a handgun in the room where Watson and Murphy were hiding. During a search of the rest of the house, 1 gram of methamphetamine, 1 gram of marijuana, two sets of digital scales, a clear glass pipe, and two marijuana pipes were found. Cameras and other surveillance equipment were also seized during the search.
According to the police report, both Watson and Murphy had active warrants out for their arrest.
Watson is a convicted felon who is wanted for violation of parole in Atlanta, Georgia.
Murphy has an active warrant against him due to failure to appear in court in Sumner County, Tennessee.
Both men were arrested and transported to the Smith County Sheriff’s Office for booking.
Watson is charged with being a fugitive from justice, possession of a weapon with intent to go armed, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, and two counts of possession of controlled substances.
Murphy is charged with felony possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of possession of controlled substances.
