On November 4th, Greta Kirby from the Turkey Creek Community won a trip to New York City from The Wendy Williams Show which airs on Fox17. It is a trip worth $3,271.66. She had entered online to win it & they chose her, BUT there was a lot more to it. She had to watch the show the day before and then be able to answer a question about that show. She had taken notes the day before and was able to give them the correct answer which was “Boy George”. They kept her on the telephone for about 25 minutes before they recorded her and they kept coming on the line to tell her how much time was remaining before she was on the air. She had to listen to a couple of distinctive sounds (a phone ringing and then a click) before she could say hello. She then had 15 seconds to answer the question.
On November 3rd, Lacey Williams from Gordonsville won a $1,000 Kroger gift card from News Channel 5 in Nashville. Lacie won by watching News Channel 6 and listened for a code word. She then had to got to NewsChannel5.com and enter the word for a chance to win. She was selected as the winner and was interviewed at Kroger in Lebanon by a News Channel 5 reporter.
