On April 6th, 2021, Sgt. Junior Fields conducted a drug investigations after Mrs. Starlett Delk Arnold agreed to deliver a ball of crystal methamphetamine. After the agreement was made, Sgt. Fields stopped a red Hyundai after observing the vehicle on Alexandria Hwy. occupied by Mrs. Arnold and Mr. Brandon T. Mulac. Sgt. Dusty Hailey was also on the scene at the time.
Upon stopping the vehicle, Mr. Mulac was found to be the driver, and Mr. Mulac’s young daughter and Mrs. Arnold were passengers. Mr. Mulac was detained and searched, at which time 6 grams of crystal methamphetamine was located on his person along with money. A search of the vehicle revealed 14 ounces of crystal methamphetamine, one ounce of fentanyl, 1.6 ounces of marijuana, and 35 Adderall Pills. Also located was a set of digital scales.
Inside Mrs. Arnold’s cigarette pack was the 3.6 grams of meth that she was delivering. Mr. Mulac was found to be Mrs. Arnold’s dealer and that they both intended to deliver the drugs.
Both were placed under arrest and transported to Smith County Jail for processing.
Upon reaching the Sheriff’s office, search warrants were requested out of Dekalb County. After searching with the warrants, approximately 1 pound of meth, 500 ecstasy pills, assorted drug paraphernalia, several firearms, and a large sum of money were seized by the police office.
Mr. Mulac and Mrs. Arnold are being charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, possession of schedule II for resale, possession of schedule II for resale, possession of schedule VI for resale, child abuse, neglect, and endangerment.
They are both considered innocent until proven guilty by a court of law.
