The Town of Gordonsville is happy to announce that the playground at Ivy Agee Park is now back open after receiving a major renovation.
Crews deconstructed the old equipment, excavated the area, and installed new upgrading playground equipment, including a new handicap accessible swing and merry-go-round.
The playground area has been upgraded with new cedar mulch, supplied by Grant Cedar Mill.Â
The new equipment was unanimously voted for and approved by the Gordonsville City Council for the 2021-2022 budget.
Mayor John Potts stated, “The new playground equipment was a much needed upgrade and now children of all ages and abilities can enjoy our park. We plan to continue to make improvements to Ivy Agee Park. In the next few weeks, the parking lot will be sealed and striped. In the near future we hope to make some upgrades and renovations to the pavilions.”
