On Tuesday, a Tennessee man was arrested on a warrant for aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, and his wife was arrested on complaints of child abuse by failure to protect and harboring a fugitive in Enid, Oklahoma.
The Gordonsville Police Department was the original investigating agency in this case.

ENID, Okla. — Enid Police Department detectives arrested a Tennessee man on a warrant for aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor and his wife on complaints of child abuse by failure to protect and harboring a fugitive.
Garfield County Department of Human Services caseworkers contacted Enid police detectives Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2019, with information about a possible fugitive from Tennessee, Capt. Tim Jacobi said.
“Child welfare officials in Tennessee had recently become aware of children enrolling in an Enid area school whom were the subject of an investigation in Tennessee involving a wanted suspect named Benjamin David Lambert,” Jacobi said. Detectives began investigating and discovered that Benjamin Lambert was wanted in Tennessee on four felony counts of especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor. However, the warrant did not authorize extradition outside the State of Tennessee. Detectives determined that Mr. Lambert was very likely in the Enid area so they contacted the Gordonsville (Tenn.) Police Department, which was the original investigating agency, and arranged for approval for extradition.
“During that contact, detectives learned that the children’s mother, Destiny Lambert, had been ordered by a Tennessee court not to allow the father, Benjamin, to have any contact with the children.”
Tuesday, detectives intercepted Benjamin and Destiny as they were waiting to pick up the children from a local Enid elementary school, the captain said.
“Benjamin and Destiny were both placed under arrest and later booked into the Garfield County Detention Facility,” Jacobi said. “The children, who indicated they had been living in a camper at an area campground, were placed in protective custody.”
Benjamin David Lambert, 44, was booked on the Tennessee warrant charging four felony counts of especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor.
Destiny Lambert, 36, was booked on felony complaints of child abuse by failure to protect and harboring a fugitive.
