What to bring and what to wear? Please wear suitable clothing for working outdoors and getting wet and dirty, such as gloves, closed-toed shoes, hats, long pants, and long-sleeved shirts. Also, please remember to bring your water bottle and sunscreen. TEC will provide the necessary tools, extra gloves, and refillable water.
Accessibility: This event will include walking along the road, streambank, and creek while carrying litter grabbers
and trash bags.
Directions: The area is in the southwest corner of Smith County, near Wilson and DeKalb counties. It is near the intersection of E Earl Steel Rd and Potter Rd W. Get off 1-40 East at exit 254, SR 141. Turn right and go straight on SR 53 toward Alexandria. After about two miles, cross the railroad tracks and Brush Creek. Take the second left(Earl Steel Rd) and go to the end of the road, Potter Rd W. The exact coordinates are 36.095407 latitude and -86.009946 longitude.
