UPDATE: (4/27/18 – 5:00 P.M.)
Around 7pm on Thursday night, April 26, at the request of 15th District Attorney General Tommy Thompson, TBI Special Agents responded to Dillehay Hollow Road in Smith County to begin investigating the discovery of the bodies of two men.
The TBI reported that two male bodies were found outside of what appears to be an abandoned house at 153 Dillehay Hollow Road. The two subjects have been identified as Devon Clark (DOB 11/10/1979) of Murfreesboro, and Shannon Smith (DOB 11/02/1973) of Sparta.
The deaths appear to be the result of a homicide. It has not been determined how long their bodies had been there.
Smith County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and TBI agents have been on the scene throughout the night. The TBI stated that this remains an active and ongoing investigation.
