A South Carolina woman was arrested Saturday, October 22, in Gordonsville after drugs were found on her person.
Officer David Petty and Deputy Kendra Grisham with the Gordonsville Police Department responded to the Wilco Hess truck stop following a call from an employee about a possible intoxicated person on the premises.
Upon arrival, the employee pointed Petty to where the people were located in the parking lot at a gas pump, according to Petty’s report.
Petty talked with the subjects and asked if they were okay. According to Petty’s report, 20-year-old Bianca Barra of Cottageville, South Carolina, stated they were fine. Petty asked if there were any drugs or weapons on them, in which they both stated no and gave permission to be searched, according to Petty’s report.
Grisham searched Barra, and on her person in the front pocket of her sweat pants, two baggies were located. One was empty with a powdery residue, and the other had a pill reading Xanax across it.
Barra was placed under arrest and transported to the Smith County Jail Facility for booking.
She is charged with Simple Possession Schedule IV (Xanax).
