Smith County Weather Report, September 16th, 2021

September 16, 2021

by Steve Norris, Smith County Insider Weather Correspondent

It is a pretty typical forecast for this time of year, it’s going to be partly cloudy with scattered afternoon and evening showers or thunderstorms. High temperatures will be in the mid-80s and lows in the upper 60s. I see some cooler weather near the end of September with lows in the low-to-mid 50s.

In our evening Sky we continue to have the planet Venus very low to the Southwest and if you look to the southeast you’re going to see a half moon and the planet Jupiter getting closer together in the sky. The first day of fall is September 22nd at 2:20 in the afternoon.  A full moon will occur on Monday, Sept. 20. but the moon will appear full the night before and after its peak to the casual stargazer.  If you have any questions drop me an e-mail to weather1@charter.net and we can just talk weather!
