October 27, 2021

by Steve Norris, Smith County Insider Weather Correspondent

Rain across Middle Tennessee from Wednesday night through Friday night and we may see scattered showers lingering on Saturday. High temperatures will only be in the upper 50s and lows will drop to the 40s. Sunday definitely looks like the best day of your weekend with some sunshine likely returning and a high near 65. We could see temperatures dip into the upper 30s next week and temperatures look to stay below normal for the next two weeks.

In our looking back segment  this week. October 24th 1981 temperatures dropped to the mid to upper 20s in Smith county, unusually cold for so early in the season. Almost a century ago, October 30th 1925 parts of the midstate  actually recorded one inch of snowfall.
