Smith County Weather Report: May 29th, 2021

May 29, 2021

It is going to be much cooler for the Memorial Day weekend, with highs in the upper 60s on Saturday and lows could go down into the upper 40s to low 50s, which is quite a change from the near 90 degree readings of this week. Next week we expect to warm back into the 80s, but I do expect the chance of storms to be going up again for June the 2nd to the 9th.

We now start the three hottest months of the year, and we do expect it to be an above normal summer on temperatures. July is usually hottest with August 2nd and June the 3rd warmest month.

We are also now starting the hurricane season, and we are likely to be affected several times in Middle Tennessee by tropical systems. If you have a weather question or need data, drop me an email anytime to weather1@charter.ne
