Temperatures will soar into the mid 80s from Friday through Sunday, but scattered thunderstorms will be a possibility with a 40% chance on Friday and Saturday and then it jumps up to 60% on Sunday. Quite a drastic change within a week after we saw frost and freeze conditions in Middle Tennessee last weekend!
The growing season can begin in full force now, as that should have been our last frost of the season and now you can turn all of your attention to the gardens and flowers.
I am expecting this to be a hot and humid summer with thunderstorm activity above normal. I think we will see many days in the 90s and near 100 degrees from June through September.
It is expected to be an active hurricane season, and the Gulf of Mexico is expected to be a prime location for development and that could have major impact on Tennessee as we normally get rainfall from hurricanes that make landfall on the Gulf Coast.
