March 4, 2021

by Steve Norris, Smith County Insider Weather Correspondent

It is a Fantastic Forecast that I bring you this week as we are going to see fair to partly sunny skies for the next 7 days. High temperatures will range from the upper 50s for Friday and the weekend and then climb into the mid to Upper 60s next week which is sure to give you a case of spring fever! Rain is really expected to start increasing from the 11th to the 16th of March. There is no arctic air in sight for our area.

March kicked off the severe weather season in Tennessee and storms become more severe as we head into April and May. Last Sunday evening brought a few severe thunderstorms and numerous reports of flooding to Middle Tennessee with some areas of Smith and surrounding counties receiving 5 to 6 inches of rainfall.
